Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Jackson Hill is a bassist, composer, and songwriter. Hill is an active performer on double bass, electric bass guitar, and synthesizer. He has shared the stage with Son Lux, Rafiq Bhatia, Xenia Rubinos, TUTU, Leverage Models, Glass Elephant, Alexandra Stewart, and many others. His playing can be heard on recordings by Son Lux, Rafiq Bhatia, TUTU, Glass Elephant, and Alexandra Stewart. As a composer and songwriter, his music has been featured prominently in the band TUTU, for which he wrote songs alongside vocalist Nina Moffitt. He has also written music for film. Hill earned a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He has studied bass with Peter Dominguez (Oberlin Conservatory), John V. Brown (UNC-CH, Duke University), Robert K.
